Hajin shuts to mourn killing of Lashkar militant
Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in Hajin and adjoining areas of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday against the killing of a Lashkar-e-Toiba militant in a gun battle with forces.
A witness said that all shops, business establishments and educational institutions are shut in Hajin to mourn the death of a militant who succumbed to his injuries during last night.
Sources said that a non-local militant identified as Abu Harris was injured yesterday during a brief gunfight.
Authorities on Tuesday suspended the mobile Internet service in the entire district in view of the militant’s killing.
