JKAACL Organised ‘Swaranjali’ a Musical concert by female singers
Jammu, March 11: J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages Jammu today organized “Swaranjali”, a Musical concert by female singers celebrating International Women’s Day at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. Jenab Zafar Iqbal Manhas, honble MLC and Vice President, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was the chief guest while Mrs Rewa Kumari, Special Secretary to Government, Department of Culture was also present as special guest.
While speaking on the occasion, Jenab Zafar Iqbal Manhas complimented on the eve of international women day and appreciated all the participating female artists and singers for their scintillating performances. While speaking about the women folk he said that today the female folk has excelled in almost all the fields of life. He further said that today we are living in the era of advancement in information and technology and present generation is exposed at the maximum. He stressed that respect and protection of women symbolizes the healthy and progressive society of the particular area.
Earlier, while welcoming the distinguished guests and the audience Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages detailed about the future activities and also informed about the events organized celebrating international women day in the region as wel as in the state.
Those who sung include:- Kailash Mehra Deepali Wattal, Sonali Dogra,Vanshika Jaral ,Anjusha Sharma, Chinmay Sharma, Kusha Sharma and Sargam Sharma the musicians were- Sunil Sharma (Synth),Sh. Kamal Sharma (Dholk), Ravi Sharma, (Harmonium) ,Vijay Anand (Tabla)Rakesh Anand (Flute) Amarjeet Singh (Violin) Jagmeet Singh (Guitar) and Smt. Bindiya Tikoo renowned announcer conducted the proceedings of the Programme .
Vote of thanks were presented by Sh. Bishan Dass, Asstt. Cultural Officer.
