950 GRAMS OF NARCOTIC SUBSTANCE RECOVERED IN KUPWARA, POLICEMAN ARRESTED

Kupwara: Kupwara Police on Monday said that it arrested a policeman serving in SDRF along with Narcotic substance in this north Kashmir’s frontier district Kupwara.

Talking to reporters, SSP Kupwara Shri Ram Ambarkar said that acting on specific inputs, a Naka was laid at Lalpora. During Searches police recovered 950 grams ofnarcotic substance. He said one person Namely Amjad Ali Khan son of Musa Ali khan resident of  Diver Anderbug Lolab, who is serving in SDRF and is posted at Srinagar.


According to our Special Correspondent Wasim Majnoon Mir, SSP Kupwara said that the market value of the seized quantity of Narcotic in international market is almost Rs 25 Lakhs. He assured that the case will be taken to logical conclusion.

He said that a case under FIR number 51/2019 under section 8/21 NDPS Act was registered and further investigations taken up.


SSP urged people to cooperate with police to end the drug menace in the frontier district Kupwara.
